Joey Bruni is a graduate of a three-year Graphic Arts program at Durham Collage. His style has developed through the years of painting, drawing, photography and design classes where he gained an appreciation for the artistic side of graphic design from being among the last year of students taught the traditional “Cut & Paste” approach.
Much of Joey’s painting and drawing work has been an on-going documentation of spaces and places that people have little regard for or take for grated. Many of us fall mindlessly into daily routines and become oblivious to the environments that surround them. When was the last time you were stopped in your tracks to gaze at the beauty of what others may see as mundane? In an effort to change the perception of the viewer on similar landscapes in their daily lives, his work is a collection of paintings and drawings that shares the artist’s appreciation of under appreciated scenes from his travels throughout Canada and the US.
